It's not a message to wish you well, and it's not even a question about a previous project from when you were employed there. No, of all things, it was a letter of termination on the grounds of "job abandonment." Come again?

OP also revealed in a comment that they weren't a salaried employee and it's not like they were receiving pay after they quit, so there was simply no sign of this coming.
